I have 215/45/17 kumhos mounted on 17x7.5 rims (i.e. heavy). I am getting ready to take my saab to an scca event at an airport and was wondering if this would be a good idea. Here goes: I was thinking i could put my oem 15in wheels on the back because they weigh less and are more narrow, then fill the back tires to a pretty high psi. Thus giving me less contact patch in the rear. Would this help combat understeer? Is it worth my time? I would just put all four 15's back on but I could only bring two back to school, i just didnt have the storage space. Any tips you guys could give me would be great. This is my first time to autocross my saab or a front wheel drive for that matter, handling is a lot different in my Z.
