Some of the parts were bought with last year's birthday money, and nope, my parents aren't rich, they gave me around $100. They support my hobby, and my Dad helps me, but I earn what I get. They don't spend money on it, unless it's an occasional tool which can benefit the family. Basically, every penny I earn, goes right into the car. I sell various car parts, work alot, save save save, etc. Also, I find deals like you don't know what! Deals of my past... complete SPG panels for $80, SAS rear sway bar $50, Volvo intercooler $40, etc, etc. The last thing I want is someone thinking my parents paid for all of this. About 2 miles down the road from my house is downtown Hershey, one of the most wealthy parts of Pennsylvania, where 16 year old high school students are drving 2002 BMW/Audi/VW/SAAB/Mercedes. Sometimes they own Hondas and have over $10K invested. It really upsets me. The kids will never know how to work for something. Either way, whatever they drive, they get smoked by my blood & sweat earned SPG, which, by the way, I'm still paying off with my lifeguard income (:

Happy SAABing!
Hope to see you at SOC 03 in Hershey!

PS-- you'll be able to see one of the kids who I was talking about at SOC 03, an 18 year old kid who, when we was 17, parents bought him a 99 9-3SE, but it got "old", so they bought him a 2002 9-3 Viggen convertible. Sure he earned it... riiight ( ;
