Hi Carlb,

I've ever had the problem like you about replacing new turbo. I had post some message in this board too. Someone says "Mare Lags" or " More Slugish" Some says "Nothing if no ECU Mods" . But because my T25 had leaked so much ,so I must to replace the new one. I chose Garette M12 Comp. Hsg. A/R0.53 trimming 55 with A/R0.49 turbine hsg. but really not know which engines the turbo came from. But , it should not be used in the bigger engine than 2.0litre because the hsg. size is almost as same as T25 (a little bit bigger). Only significant change is tthe wheel . My mechanic said this new gen. turbo has flow improve in wheel angle for both comp. wheel and turbine wheel like others 2000 Era turbo should be. After replacing , and setting max boost at 0.85 bar. I can feel the toque and power increase every time when it boost. lower end is OK since the turbine housing is almost the same. Spooling still came up shot around 15-1600 rpm. But it swift extreamly in mid and higher end.

The significant things I can write is the acc. time from 130 to 180 km/hr for my car with Automatic trans. come from 9.6 sec with T25 to only 8.5 sec with only new turbo screw in the same boost level. Very appreciate.....

The point for this work and is only to "choice" the right turbo man : ).

If you have any trouble , plese contact me any time.
