The SRT-4 was designed for one thing, to be quick & cheap. It does that. Should we be surprised? The Ford F150 is designed mainly for one purpose... to haul a bunch of stuff. Would we be surprised if you told us you challenged an F150 to a hauling contest and found out, DANG, you can't stuff nearly as much stuff into your Aero! Of course not, the F150 is just doing what it was designed to do.
Your Aero was given a more challenging, "multi-tasking" job. It was designed to carry 4 adults in roomy comfort with a reasonable amount of luggage in the trunk, with their butts on fine leather, listening to clear sounding music, pampered by power seats/windows/yadayada... all while offering a great mix of acceleration & top end capability, AND the ability to dig through snow if needed. WHEW! That's a tough job. Now go out and find a vehicle that beats the Aero at what it was designed to do, for something near the same price..... We're waiting................
