I was able to just hone the block. I started with 20 50 fully synthetic and pretty much went to town driving it.Less than 200 miles on it. Problem is, I am getting the following compression readings,
#1 160
#2 125
#3 124
#4 112
Motor was warm with wot, plugs out.
The only reason I did the check was that I was getting excessive crancase pressure, sending oil out the dipstick and getting exhaust as well.
So I swithced over to 10 30 to see what will happen over some miles.
I don't know if the rings are hardened or just couldn't seat as a result of using full synthetic.
Basicaly I was running high boost at least up to 18. never overheated the motor but, I did have an ecu that came on my 90 spg that I disconnected the egr system and used caps to bypass the ce light. Don't know if that might have caused a lean condition leading to cooked rings or not.
I am going to add some Marvel to go with my dino oil and see what happens. Let me know what you think.
