Hmmm, let's see. Back in 1995 the Taurus SHO with 5-spd stick was still considered quite a quick car. When it came out in late '80s it was untouchable, but by '95 still among the quickest front drivers. And top spd was over 140mph. I had a '93 and then a '95, both manual trans. Not screwed together a well as a Saab & seats, etc not a high grade, but very impressive car when driven hard. Others... I gotta believe the 9000 Aero might have been the performance king among front drives in '95.
There were a few odd ducks, too like the Omni GLH-S (175hp), that were quick but very crude.
