Industry standard estimate for driveline loss is 15%, which means an advertised 250hp car should dyno @ 213hp. Which confirms some speculation that the current 250hp Aero rating is simply more accurate rating of same engine.
This also makes the Abbott (& other) aftermarket ECU upgrades a little less amazing. I've had a hard time understanding how they were able to bump hp by 21% from 230 to 280. Apparently they really only need to squeeze 12% out of the Viggen, bumping it from 250 to 280. More realistic, less amazing, but also less scary.
