They were using toulene most. I know that they would start out with small amounts and work up. Just like what your are doing if i'm reading it right. 1\2 gal. is not much, but I guess it depends on how much you are adding it to gas wise. They would start with 10 gals and mix just like what you are mixing,these were people w\turbo's. I know that most have stopped. Just be carefull. I don't think that it would harm much if used once and a while. It was when people got got addicted to it was when they started having issues. Have fun and let know if it does anything. I get my kicks by going up to sears point and filling up w\100 oct+, but this is only once every 3 months or so. The differnece is amazing.
