Brad
I picked up on the ecu part in your post. I use both the stock and a modified ecu on my 9000 areo race car. With boost control setup so you don't get overshoots (I use a Greddy Profec B electronic boost controller) you can get the car running as goood or better with the stock ECU. The major difference is that booost cut seems to be just under 20 psi on my stock ECU and about 22 psi on the modified unit. Even running leaded race gas 110+ octane, the throttle response and driveability is much better on the stock ecu.
There is a bigger hit when the boost peaks at 22 psi but once you are over 4500 rpm the stock Aero turbo is running wide open and both ECU 's seem to control the other aspects without issue.
I'm running at 3500' elevation so these observarions may not be accurate at sea level.
My 9000 Aero now weighs 2500 lbs without driver class limit is 2400 lbs for the prepared class I run in and I hope to be there for the race season.
By the way this car finished first in Points for the season for all classes in the SCCA Montana region(All classes) So I will be Proudly be wearing the number "1" for the race season.
