and a lot of racers these days use either electric, belt driven, or exhaust extracter vacuum pumps. Crankcase vacuum helps the rings seal, and reduces power losses due to excessive oil mist in the engine. Maybe the best set up would be an oil seperator with a vacuum hose attached to the intake. Air is returned to the engine via the oil fill tube with vent, I assume as there is no other source. Many industial and even early Volvos have a set-up where the PCV hose goes thru an oil trap and that oil is then returned to the crankcase.
