Initial impressions of Yokohama AVS Sport tires.

On Saturday I replaced my Viggen's Dunlop SP Sport 2000 215-45-17 with Yokohama AVS Sport 225-45-17 tires. Of course I have not had the tires long enough to give a thorough review but here are a few initial impressions.
1-The Yokos have lots more grip than the Dunlops. This can be attributed to both the softer compound and the wider footprint.
2-The Yokos are much quiter than I anticipated. I thought they'd be a bit noisy but they are just as quiet as the Dunlops.
3-The Yokos feel very much like a thoroughbred tire, just like the test results at http://www.tirerack.com stated. They provide immensely more feedback than the Dunlops but some might find this annoying.
4-This is a very minor point, but the tires look outstanding.
I'm very impressed so far. The larger size fills the wheel wells nicely without causing clearance problems. The slightly taller sidewall should provide additional protection to the damage-prone Viggen wheels.
If you're looking for a tire that helps eliminate the torque/camber steer issue, look elsewhere. I appreciate the excellent road feel, so that was not my main motivation for switching. I was looking for decreased understeer and increased traction and response, which the Yokos have already provided in the short time I've had them.
I'll give more comments when the weather warms up here in Michigan and I get a chance to do some autocrossing.
