Houston with 80 degree temps and 80-90% humidity after sunset. Especially not the stock SRT4's that I've beaten at Houston Raceway Park. Especially not after looking at the timeslips from runs where I've been beaten by modified, legitimate 13 sec. SRT4's, where you can clearly see that the Saab was quickly making ground on them after the first 1/8th mile. Especially considering that I've also raced and beat a new Evo and more than one 350ZX (granted, they probably weren't being driven properly). I can scan and send you the timeslips if you're interested in taking a look. Anyway, there are tons of cars that are much faster than my 9-3, no doubt, but I mention those things because it supports the dyno results. I've been racing my 9-3 to have some good clean fun on Thursday nights and also to improve my launching technique.

I just don't agree with your assertion that dyno numbers aren't useful when comparing to other dyno numbers. Dyno calibration isn't my field, but how much difference do you think there is between individual dynos that are deliberately calibrated on a scheduled basis? To say there of no use would imply that it could be expected that they'd not perform within +/-, 5HP? 10 HP? 20 HP? 30 HP?

I see what you're trying to say about the relativeness of dyno calibration, but considering all the conditions, I feel the numbers are reasonable, especially considering SRT4's also don't require the use of 4th gear because of their gearing that is designed to provide impressive 1/4 mile results.

Also, another guy in town tested his Viggen on the same dyno and came-back with numbers that were as you'd expect them to be...
