Viggen Tires Input

Greetings,
I know topics like this are a bit too common, sorry. However, I dug around the boards and still didn't quite find the answers I'm looking for.
Here's the deal. I have a 2000 Viggen with stock rims. I replaced the stock tires with Bridgeston S-03's about a year ago. It was a HUGE improvement over the stock tires. My only complaints are that they're noisey on the highway and expensive per mile.
Anyway, now it's time for some new rubber. I'm going to upgrade to 225/45/17's based on what I've read on this board. I'm considering the Bridgestone Potenza RE750's, the Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3's, and the S-03's again. I do drive in the rain and on lousy New England roads. However, I also enjoy really nailing it on a windy country road.
So, anyone have some input/experience? Are there other choices I should be considering (hope not too make this more complicated)? I realize that I should probably consider going up to 18inch wheels, but I can't dump the money on that right now.
Thoughts?
Thanks so much!
-Jeff
