Base Circle is what it's all about.. have no idea what level of lift/duration one would put inna Turpo Saab.. not much I suspect, might even be acceptable, but still too hillbilly for my tastes.
Once into serious lift/overlap the Geometry goes South.. rapidly. That lift/overlap has gotta be ground into the existing metal.. which makes for really Harsh acceleration ramps
Not a genuine concern with an Older V8 and it's follower/pushrod setup, at least in the lower level perf reaches..BUT a proven problem with todays small 4 and 6 cyl engines with their V precise tolerances/geometry...AND their 7k redlines!.. Kiss 'o death Mate :-)
No One uses a regrind onna current Asian or Euro engine... unless they are fools, cuz these are really pricey to 'repair'
Sure Regrinds have been around for decades.. Hey they were/are cheap.. best reason of all. But if you've 'wiped' a Cam.. you won't go there again :-)
