transmission-->speedo cable-->speedo

The speedo makes an electric pulse signal and the output is used by the cruise
control and ECU.

In my SPG I'm using a 9000 transmission speed sensor, which plugs directly into
the spot where the speedo cable used to go. It has 2 wires and puts out a sine-
wave signal that is fed to the 9000 speedometer. Presumably you could feed
this signal to an aftermarket speedometer also, but there must be a way to calibrate
the speedo so that the reading is actually correct.

To complicate matters, the cruise control may or may not run off the new signal.
And the ECU may or may not run nicely.

You asked at a good time - I’m trying to make a black box signal convertor for my
SPG so that I can swap between ng900 and 9000 T5 computers and keep each one happy.
If I have any luck I’ll let you know!
