The R32 GT-R was the AWD twin turbo, predecessor of the R33 GTR and R34 GTR. the R32 GTS-T is RWD with a single turbo. IT was the origional GTR Group A race car. It esentially is a race designed engine, which is why is capable of such high HP without internal mods. They all had the same technology, but the latter years were updated, especially the AWD (dual limited slip, stuff like that).
the AWD is funky. Although in the rides I had in them I couldn't tell (city traffic;-), but apparently the torque split is very trick alowing a little rear spin when launching, and allowing a little power oversteer if needed.
Running gear comes for sale on Ebay once in a while, would be cool to retro into a C99 !
The bonus for me living in Canada I can get the '89 GTR becasue it is 15 years old, with no need to get it federalised,,,,except for a local safelty taht all cars must go through. Unfortunately, we are strictly limited to the 15 year rule, so it'll be a long while for the R34. The benefit of US customers is tht they have Motorex tht ca federalise any year.....but for a huge cost. Zele International (do a Google and translate the page if you want a look-see) has several GTRs, many of which are around $22KCAD, but the oldest is a 1990 at the moment:-(
