It has been said that it takes 4 times as long to stop from 90-0, then it does from 45-0. Does it take 4 times as much energy to get from 0-90 as it does 0-45? This came up in a discussion with JP about how my Viggen feels to me... I said that the acceleration in 2nd gear feels like it pushes me back in the seat more powerfully than acceleration in any other gear... that the 30-60 ride felt much more powerful than the 60-90 run. JP mentioned the above point about the braking energy, and suggested that it requires substantially more to get from 60 to 90.
