All it says is that if you use too low octane you may experience knocking. If that happens the system will "back down" towards original power. It will then gradually adapt (if you don't do an adaptation run of course) back to the "tuned" mode.
It does say, however, that in some unusual cases an error code may be stored in the system. That would imply having to take the car to a Saab mechanic to have the error code erased with the Tech 2.
So, nothing to worry about...
