At one point GM was going to be able to get an all wheel drive setup from his HD 4 speed trans guy in Sweden. If it does ever happen I'll do what ever it takes to get one no matter what the cost is! As Gary said 551HP is no problem with an early Saab engine that's actually half of a V-8 in design. They original started out with the 8 valve English POS that was half of a Triumph Stage V-8. I believe they were after something for low hood clearance. They did of course have to design their own 8 valve version which has different bore spacing which is what became the early 16 valve engine that will handle so much HP because of the angle of attack from the crank and rods being 45 degrees. With our special main stud kit and the right rods and pistons these engines will easily handle 500 to 600HP. The new upright Saab engines require a main support girdle that's tied to the head studs to handle lots of power like the 800 plus HP Pikes Peak engine that Tommy at Trollspeed builds. All food for thought but someday a Saab that no exotic high dollar anything could touch would be awesome! Take care, Dave
