I have a '94 classic 900S 2.1 non turbo. I don't want a loud car. Does adding a cat back exhaust make your car louder? Would the noise be offset by pulling up the carpet and taking off door panels and adding sound dampers? I think I'm gonna do that in any case because I have the convertible...very noisy...hoping my new Pirelli P-Zeros will make a difference with that (haven't installed the new rims or tires yet). Besides a 2.5 exhaust, what else can I do? My car is an automatic also. I have been to the performance websites, but I don't know where to start.

Pardon, my ignorance...I'm a Saab enthusiast and not a mechanic. I don't even know if my car is APC controlled. Does that only apply to Turbos? What about ECU mods? Do they apply to my car? I was told that the rising rate fuel regulator was a good start. I think it was Dave at Group 9 who told me this. He was so great, but I got confused after a while because at first he thought I had a Turbo. So, all of the initials started to meld into one great opportunity to start worrying about tires and wheels and other simpler things. Anyone have any suggestions? I am a classid Saab owner, so that means I'm a glutten for punishment. To offset this, I will add a request to make your suggestions for sources be competitively priced and I'll use USED if it will save me money too. Thanks.

P
