Okay, here are a bunch of new pictures I just shot this morning.

These all show the new GT30 bolted up. My ceramic coated downpipe is also test fitted. The TiAL external wastegate is also visible, with the discharge pipe painted black (kind of hard to see, sorry). It vents to atmosphere through a small Briggs and Stratton type muffler. Once the engine's back into the car, I will need to trim the pipe slightly - but it does poke through a hole cut in the Saab Sport & Rally skidplate underneath.
Also visible are custom made oil and water lines, all in braided stainless. Actually, the water return is pre-existing from before, I made it up a year or two ago. The water feed is new. The oil feed is new too - the stock one cracked at the block. The oil feed uses -4 lines with an Earl's pre-filter to help cut down on oil volume - the GT turbos don't require the volume of a T3 apparently. Obvious safety benefit too. The oil return is a -10, but just waiting on an adaptor to be machined for the block. Finally, the wastegate photo shows the safety wired retaining bolts. I had this piece fall off last year at an autocross school, cut the day short unfortunately.

Some other miscellaneous stuff. The valve cover is the old one, but now with a 1/2" NPT fitting welded on for the crankcase breather. Previously I had the same brass fitting in there, threaded into the hole in the valve cover which was tapped, but this hasn't held. Hence the welding. Also, the valve cover is from a B234 car, and it originally said '2.3-16' underneath. Being a stickler for detail, when I first built the motor I Dremel'd the '3' into a '0', and added some metal putty. This didn't work out too well, the putty fell off from the heat I guess, so I had my machinist just shave the whole thing down. You can also see the Moroso oil cap as it's a pain to fill through the 4-speed's small neck. This was done a while ago, but it's worth noting.
The alternator bracket is another piece I just fab'd up, trying to help cut down on alternator vibrations. Have to thank my buddy Trevor in Vancouver for giving me the idea. Waiting on one of those adjustable external regulators and that will be enough alternator work this year!
The engine mount shows the two retaining bolts also safety wired. I had one of these fall out last fall, causing a lot of vibrations. Bad vibes. They won't fall out now.
Finally, have installed a tranny temp gauge in place of the AF gauge. They're all in place with one of Tom Remedios' reproduction gauge slots, very trick stuff. I've also installed a little 'Knocksense' unit (http://www.viatrack.ca/) but this is all hidden behind the gauges - with the exception of the LED which I hastily mounted in a switch blank next to the cigarette lighter (hard to see).
That's it for now!
