Good afternoon all,
You can all laugh at me when I ask this but will 92 octane gas over 87 really help with detonation THAT much? How about 89 over 87. I have a 79 900T and normally it doesnt detonate at all but we had a pretty hot day today and with me giving it hell for a long period of time, the car was detonating a bunch at full boost (all 7 PSI of it).
I just got my new G-tech meter in the mail so that is why I was out playing around. I bought one of the old style meters off ebay for 33$. I can definitely see the advantage of the newer style unit. It kind of sucks having no memory capability and I dont like having to turn the meter to measure lateral G's. All in all though for 33$, its pretty darn cool. I was only able to do a couple of runs due to horrendous traffic but here are the numbers I got.... 0-60 10.73, 10.75, 11.71. These are pretty weak numbers. I know my ancient CIS beast isnt a rocket but I expected more like 9 sec to 60. Guess that means I will be forced to do upgrades (-: I am focused on more fuel/more boost and a water injection system. If only I could win the lottery. Take car everyone!
