I know some people have hooked-up the highspeed valve to their system, so I was looking for verification on the correct method.
Since the fuel injectors always have +12 volts and are fired by getting a ground signal from pin 13 on the ECU, I thought that the HSV needs to be driven off this ground signal also. Therefore, I was going to tap into either one of the small .75 mm gn/rd ground wires on an injector or tap the larger 2.5 mm gn/rd ground wire going directly to pin 13.
I will also install a pressure switch into the ground wire. Therefore, the HSV would only be grounded (and fire) only when 1) the injectors get a ground and fire, AND 2) when a pressure switch closes at a setting I choose (~4psi).
I was planning to use an ignition-on source to supply power to the valve.
I tried to think this out logically w/ my Bentley diagram. Does this make sense to you?
Thanks, Chris 85t
