Adjusting Koni's on the c900

Just wanted to know how easy it is to adjust the Konis on my convertible from soft to full stiff. I had my local indy install shocks and springs all around a couple years ago, and they failed to ask me what I wanted for stiffness. In truth, I forgot to tell them, so it's both our faults. I am not happy with the ride with the settings on soft, even though they told me stiff was too stiff.
I don't have the owner's manual for the shocks anymore so if anyone can help out with some advice, I would appreciate it. Hopefully it doesn't involve removing the springs as those are definitely a bear to get out.
TIA
JT
