Hey Steve. First off I want you to know that I am taking very good care of your ex-viggen. :) Thanks for the post. I will give the guys at Viking a call. I would have emailed you but I noticed that you haven't been posted on this BB in awhile.
Anyway the engine isn't leaking but I have noticed a lot of posts on here about retorqing and looking for sludge at the same time as replacing the gasket so I figured that it would be good preventive maintenence.
MAF- I think it is good fortune that you responded to my post. I have noticed recently that the car seems to be driving slower. At first I thought that I was just getting used to the power but I also noticed that the turbo doesn't make it anywhere close to the red on the gauge. I have also been getting some CEL's. I tried regapping the spark plugs and that would make the CEL go away, but it comes back. So I ordered some spark plugs think that would fix it, but now that you mention the MAF I am definately going to replace it. Even as a preventive step.
Now if I replace the spark plugs and MAF are there any adjustments that need to be made? Or is it pretty much plug and play (besides obvious gapping and torqing of spark plugs)?
