Sorry to hear about your problem! OEM valve springs or aftermarket?
The cast MAHLE pistons are very delicate to impact but your damage does not look all that bad with only one valve contacting the piston.
Despite our recommendations to replace the damaged pistons, we've seen customers run engines for years after broken timing chains and much worse damage(in some cases, all 4 pistons seeing valve contact) over what you're looking at. Just not something that allows for any insurance but we'll keep our fingers crossed for you!
