Antenna /RF interference Posted by 1 Owner Sonett [Email] (#1137) [Profile/Gallery] (more from 1 Owner Sonett) on Wed, 5 May 2010 13:46:50 In Reply to: Re: radio antenna, t french, Wed, 5 May 2010 06:01:03 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
When my radio was originally installed by the dealer in Belaire Md, he installed a tape on antenna on the inside of the front window. It worked OK on FM, but poorly on AM. When I upgraded my radio in the late 80's I installed a standard antenna on the left rear quarter, where it is today. This works better, but I still get ignition interference on AM, which was the same problem I had with the windshield mounted antenna. I have tried resistor ignition wire and I think I tried a capacitor off the coil, but nothing has worked very well. Any ideas out there?
