Hi ya thanks for that.
The great news is my Sonett is now Historically registered here in South Australia!!!! Yay.
And the deal is great!! To register a "normal car" to drive 365 days a year is about $650, inc insurance for injury to anyone. Comprehensive car insurance certainly varies but I can easily pay $350 for that, with a big excess if my kids drive it
To Register the Sonett to drive any 90 days in a year is about $150!! and the insurance through a specialist historic insurer is $120 with my 20 yo alowed to drive it and good excess AND I get to keep the wreck in a write off!!
I could own three historic cars and run them for less than one normal car!!!! And you get to say "which car shall I drive today???!!!
I've also had an email from the only other V4 Sonett owner in Australia - where Sonetts truly are as rare as rockinghorse S**T. I owe Anders a call later this week.
re the rockers, I was unsure as they clearly aren't a pressing or they be a smooth curve, instead it seems to be a series of about 6 flats lightly folded to form a curve. Its impossible to see in a photo only by feel.
Anders has gotten me some info on the bumper.
I'll leave the antennae as is, it would hurt too much to cut a hole in the body to mount it.
