HI well I need some help.
(Anders I'd call but I'm a bit tied up)
I've just spent an hour this morning and two tonight trying to get my Sonett started.
I am having a spark issue.
Now I've replaced the leads and plugs when I bought the car.
I've had an occasional misfire, and as i've written the other day it ran on one cylinder for a while before returning to normal. Today it started great, stopped and that is it.
So I get 12v to the coil.
Points seem to be working, gap is ok and if I check the coil lead to the chassis I get a good enough spark.
But with cap in place and turning engine over I get nothing at a spark plug.
Voltage of course drops and maybe that is making whatever is weak go over the edge, but what is it?
So I suspect it isn't the condenser.
Could be a cap or the rotor.
The rotor I have has a resistance of 4kOhm, is this right?
anyway any advice please.
