I am finally putting my late 71 Sonett back together and checked w/ Chip a few weeks ago about this very issue. He advised that they had made a run of about 15 or so early rubber bumpers a few years ago and that they were all sold with the price I think he had said somewhere around $1,500 + - . The rubbers bumpers apparently came out fairly nice at the end w/ stainless mounting studs moulded in. Due to the ramp up costs he is not aware of anyone presently looking at doing this again though.
I am still considering making a run at doing this as I have a carpenter friend who could make the moulds and making the stainless inserts is straightforward however I am not familar w/ what process has to be used to mold the rubber/bumper material that is available nowadays IE would heat have to be involved or something self curing etc
