Hi Stephan,
I guess this means you got it running again <g> I don't know what you are using for an air filter, but the breather hose from the valve cover should go into it anywhere possible. Braze a new pipe in where best suited.
NOTE: the original SAAB one had a FLAME trap (wire mesh) to prevent carb fire blowing into the crankcase. You may want to use it, or make similar?
You could use a pipe fitting (copper) to make a right angle bend or 45, etc. and a longer hose with a loop in it to avoid creasing. I think it is 5/8", heater hose will work, just need replaced every 5 years or so instead of every 30 -50 years with the original<G>
The other possibility is to use a "breather" cap in place of the solid original oil fill cap. It was solid for Emission regulations, won't affect running at all, and you can't blow a carb fire into the crankcase
