Yes, 175/65R15 tires will work great. That is what Chip Lamb has recommended (I read about this at the blog link below). I recently ordered a set of the Yokohama Avid Envigor tires mentioned in that blog post from Tire Rack for my '71 Sonett III. They fit great. They are not expensive as tires go, but you probably don't want to spend that much for a new set just to get it rolling. That size though is a good choice if you are looking for something inexpensive just to get it rolling.
