Greetings from Adelaide Australia, as you may know I am the proud owner of one of Australia’s only 2 Sonett IIIs.
I know I've written heaps on this already, and I am not sure if anyone on this site can help as readers are mainly USA based. Postage from the USA is huge and I have a work collegue in Sweden at teh moment who may be able to help. So I've posted th ebelow on teh SAABS United site, but thought I'd repost here.
The reason I am writing is I also compete my Sonett in some small scale motorsport events – A Motorkhana – driving as fast as you can around tight circuits of witches hats, total run length is only around 150 meters taking 20 seconds on average so handling and 1st gear speed is critical.
I would like to improve the handling of my Sonett by adding a front sway bar off a SAAB 96 and an older SAAB 95 steering rack which has slightly less turns lock to lock, I am also after the shims to adjust the front wheel alignment – I want to add a heap of –ve camber.
Obviously no such parts are available in Australia, but I have a not very motoring colleague in Sweden right now in the Goteborg area. Is there a good bildemontering in that vicinity where he could possible collect these items?
Any help appreciated
