One thing to remember about the V4's...they have cast iron cylinder heads. So if you are running unleaded, is it very important to have hardened seats installed. The cast iron will not do the job, and will deteriorate quickly without the lead in the gas.

The heads on a Porsche 914, or VW Bug, or even a Fiat are aluminum, and had to have hardened steel valve seats installed from the get go. They aren't affected by the unleaded fuel, because they already have hardened seats.
