Sonnet outside rearview mirrors and bumper restoration

Greetings, Enthusiasts
I have never liked the Sonett's/99 EMS's plastic outside rearview mirrors.

They seem to add a cheap quality to the car I intend to replace them. I am aware of the silver bullet mirrors, yet they do seem to boy-racer/overdone for me.

Did the early Sonett three's come with thin round mirrors- like the Saab 96s? I am also contemplating the early style 99 chrome mirrors. They are squatish, with rounded edges.

I think it may lend an elegant, classic touch.. Any opinions?


Second question, are the small bumpers. What product should be used to fill in those tiny pinholes on top of the bumper? Should this be sanded? If so, what grit, and what products to use?
