I put new floor in my 1967 MGB-GT and insulated with Peel and Seal - which is actually a foil back asphalt roofing product. It's far, far cheaper than dynamat and nearly as good. Very easy to apply and made a significant difference in sound insulation and a noticable difference in heat transfer. I also put a layer of thicker foil backed thermal matt in high heat areas. The stuff I bought was like bubble wrap sandwiched between foil. It had to be put down with 3M spray glue. Peel & Seal has a peel off sticky back and can be cut to size with a utility knige. Got it all at the local big box home supply store. I don't find my Sonett to be nearly as hot as the MGB-GT - and nothing is going to make it quiet with the exhaust system I have on it!
