Well boys I can not belive it but she fired up. I true success story. I was going to do the compression test that Eric and I talked about but thought I would give it one more try and she fired up. I know that I am not out of the water with this one but it puts me much at ease that it fired up. It even idled for a while. Not bad for a car that sat for 8+ years I fixed the acccelarator pump gasket that stopped the leaking drained gas and put new gas filter on it. Also changed oil and filter. There was a slight miss but when I stepped on it the engine responed. This engine has 69K. What suggstion should I do it. Ignition, Valves, ETC Pretty surprised the Fomoco still worked without being rebuilt.
Next is the Transmission. I am going to bleed the slave tommorrow any suggestion are welcome. I know that I will need them.
Eric- thanks for your advice on compression
