Also just out of curiosity, perhaps someone can help me identify a part. There is a lever coming off the left side of the brake lever. It looks like there is some sort of receiver on the firewall that lines up with the lever, as it the lever was supposed to push a shaft through that receiver when the brake pedal was applied.
What was the purpose of that setup? I am guessing it is not required since the previous owner didn't say anything about the brakes not working. I am just curious if anyone knows off the top of their head.
