I don't have any quick answer for your quantity discrepancies. How does the transmission work and sound? What did the drained oil look like? Are you certain you have correctly identified the engine drain, transmission drain, transmission fill, and transmission level plugs? (Not wanting to insult, but the two drain plugs have often been confused, with less-than-desirable consequences.) The trans level plug is down the case about 2"-3" lower than the fill plug.
I would check the level again, then drain again and measure what comes out, and refill with the right stuff. I wouldn't drive it far until certain it is properly filled, nor with any gear oil with a number higher than 80. When you fill from the top and oil comes out at the level plug hole, it is full--but clearly 0.5L is not enough if it was really empty.
