Sorry to hear of the poor work done on the car. Hopefully, you'll get everything corrected.
Seems like I had a clutch problem develop on one of my V4's, and it turned out to be loose bolts from the gearbox to the engine. I wonder if the lack of bolts contributed to your problem.
Let us know how you make out with everything.
Oh- can't tell if you just removed the engine or not. If so, getting it back in to mate with the gearbox is all about angle. Use a short 2 x 4 under the gearbox to prop it up, then slip the engine back in with the front UP at an angle.
