First and foremost is RUST. Check rocker panels, trunk, wheel wells, underneath car & pull carpeting, if you can, along rockers and wheel wells.
In my mind, these cars have to be protected from snow/rain. I have a 73 which is now a parts car due to a $3000 quote to repair the rot, as well as a seized engine.
These cars are also famous for electrical problems, in some cases due to poor grounding, they have fiberglass bodies.
It would be important to me that the car is as original as possible too.
