Well, many of you who have been here for a long time may wonder who is this Mark guy who is all of a sudden posting. I wanted a Sonett in 71 but Uncle Sam called - In 74 I bought a 99LE because I now had family needs. I looked high and low for about a year for a Sonett. I was fortunate my story was passed on to a Saab dealer who had 2 in stock. I purchased a one owner, 19,500 mile 1974 Sonett. Every thing in near original condition, original headliner, radio and even Factory/dealer AC which works. I had the Soccer balls repolished and the black areas of the wheels re-enameled. Not a single sign of rust or ever a need for rust repairs. I replaced the original tires with 165SR15 Dunlop S20. The old tires just showed too much aging on the sidewalls.I had the exhaust sytem fitted with a cross over dual exhaust and that was all that was needed. All my questions regarding True Blue is because I am undecided to leave it in the slightly aged condition or put it show room condition.
At any rate I appreciate the feed back to my questions and I hope I have not bored you too much. Like I said I am the Enthusiastic Proud New owner of 1974 Sonett #545
