Headlamp buckets

My '74 Sonett III came equipped with the factory-installed auxiliary headlights/driving lights (the non-pop-up ones inside the grill.)
Today I was going to try to aim these lights and found that the plastic "buckets" in which the lights mount were broken apart in several places. I removed them to try to fix them, but the plastic has gotten so brittle that several more chunks broke out just while I was trying to wash the dirt off them. I'm trying gluing them back together with epoxy, but don't really have much hope that it will work -- there's very little area for the glue to grab onto, and even if it sticks the buckets probably will just break somewhere else.
So, what do people do to fix, reinforce, or replace these buckets? (I recall hearing that the buckets from some flavor of mini-pickup will fit, but no specifics.)
My first thought was to replace them with some type of aftermarket driving light about the same size, but there isn't much inside to which to attach a light bracket.
Any thoughts or advice?
