Never saw it...but I did see Bud Clark's conversion. Regenative braking is very effective and not difficult if you use a 3-phase AC drive motor. Since we had a series wound DC motor, it was difficult. You have to energize the field with a battery(small) and then figure out how to convert the power (usually low voltage and high current) back up to the pack voltage. We tried to at least use it to help brake the car but never really got it working.
