Yes,
The before mentioned mounting in my car is NOT recommened by Simpson or any other company or santioning body.
It is just a quick fix to replace the rock hard and worthless original belts.
Please follow all mounting instructions that are supplied with your belts.
( A belt bar , such as the one in the Miata photo , would be best. But I would weld it to the main bar as well...)
Your belt manufacturer will advise you that all safety supplies are sold with out any given false promise of complete safety.
Auto racing will always be a dangerous sport.
We can do our best to make it as safe as possible.
And we have made huge strides.
But to make it 100 % is impossible with out loosing the competition.
My car is raced as a Vintage sports car.
You can always tell the modern photos from the " original " racing photos from "back in day".
We now wear good helmets and gear. Not caps and scarfs.
Let's all try and make our sport as safe as possible with out destroying the history.
