Firing order is correct, and the distributor rotor is pointing at
the #1 plug wire when the timing mark is 6 BFTD.It will crank and run
and all plugs are getting spark to them.its just that #3 and #4 cylinders
are no burning fuel. When I installed the Pertronix the bottom edge of the module would not go on level with the bottom of the magnet sleeve ..the module sets too high even with the spacer plate removed and if I slide it up on the shaft to be level with the magnet then the rotor will not go down far enough to catch the notch .It sets about in the middle.
Could this be the trouble ...but it was this way when it was running smooth
so I am not sure this could cause it.IF my coil was not hooked up
correct could it cause this kind of trouble ...I was not sure when
I put on the blue coil if I should remove the white ceramic coil wire{ballast resistor?not sure}that was on the outside of the old coil...so I left it on the new one.Should I remove it ? I am grasping at straws here.
