Yes, the small gauges do measure 55 mm dia. (to the outside of the chrome trim ring),....probably 50-51 mm (2 in.) for the mounting hole. The tach, speedo and fuel gauges each have a black face with white lettering and an outer circular white band with two black lines with the VDO letters at the bottom between them. My guess is that these gauges were installed in U.S. cars only (tip-off: MPH only on the speedo). The clock (a little larger) and the water temp gauges each have black faces with white letters, and have SAAB and its logo on their faces. The water temp. gauge has the letters L, N, H. These two gauges may be universal to all SAABs of that vintage. I would of course, want oil pressure (PSI) and ammeter gauges made for the U.S. market to match the others. A water temp. gauge with numbers would also be a "real plus".
So, to rephrase the question: Does anyone know if oil pressure and/or ammeter gauges were used in other U.S. export models that look like mine (described above), and what years and models they were in? I don't think I'll have any luck matching them with new gauges, so essentially I'm looking for used ones from someone's parts car.
