I have a '74 and i am going to probably lower it with MSS springs if I can. The thing is that I want to have a set of Diamond Racing wheels made for it, and the dimensions will be a lot different than stock. I want to run 16" wheels that have about the same backspace as stock (to keep rubbing issues out of the picture), but are quite a bit wider, as I am flaring out the wheel wells. I'll be mounting tires somewhere in the 50-55 series range on the wheels to compensate for the extra 1" increase wheel diameter, (even though this overcompensates a bit). My overall goal is to be running beefy tires for a Sonett (205-225?) I'm speaking hypothetically about this, because I don't know if this will present problems, but what do you guys think? How can I do any measurements to verify that this will work?
