Basically the geometry of an IDF is not suited for a V4 manifold. With the float chamber in the middle the chokes are too far apart by the looks of it. I don't think it will work on a two barrel manifold unless you do some serious reconstruction to it. It may work if you put it on with the chokes behind each other instead of besides each other. The plus side of that configuration is that you don't need to butcher a two barrel manifold; a single barrel is then the better one to adjust. Another problem you may encounter is the height of the IDF; it's a pretty high thing by the look of it. I'm pretty sure it exceeds the height of a 32/36 DGV with small K&N air filter on top and I can tell you that that combo is already a tight fit.
Personally I am gambling on a pair of 40 DCNF carbs. I started converting a single barrel manifold, but due to other priorities at this moment the project has come to a temporary halt. Last year somewhere in summer there was an auction on E-Bay of a manifold that was converted to having two DCNF's so I know it is possible. The front side with the thermostat housing needs to be extended and without a distributor with a long base there is still the risk it may not fit on the rear end.
