Okay, dont go holding me responsable if I turn out to be totally off my nut or something here, seeing as how the last time I worked on a Sonett was over a blown head gasket.
But I wonder if in reassembling things, someone might have connected the line from that fuse (somewhere deep inside the Sonett's wiring) to one of the lines for the seatbelt reminder.
If that were the case, then with a good fuse installed the circut would be shorted.
Remove/blow the fuse and it automagicly comes back to life.
Once more, I have no actual first hand experiance with the Sonett, nor have I studied it's wire diagrams too closely. This just sounds logical to me at 4 in the morning.
If you discover upon replacing the fuse that the reminder goes away again, then you may have your answer.
Of course, intentionally shorting the thing out might have adverse effects on your battery when parked for long periods of time, or some such thing. Should you ever feel like tackling a long and seemingly pointless job, you may wanna find the short and correct it, then find a different method of turning off the reminder (such as unplugging it alltogether.)
Anyway, time I go dream about the day when I can experiance faulty grounds and dirty wiper motors...
